NetApp - Adding a Datastore to VCenter
Datastores do not necessarily have to reside in a storage folder but that is what we are going to do here (this is on the presumption you have created a storage folder previously).
Right click on the the storage folder you created previously and select ‘New Datastore’
You will then be presented with the following
Select VMFS if not already selected and then click ‘Next’
Give the datastore a name ‘NetApp – Test 1’ and select one of the esxi hosts
Once you have selected a host you should see the NetApp LUN’s available to select.
In this instance we will select LUN7, then click on next
On the next screen leave ‘VMFS 6’ selected and click on next
On the next screen leave all options as default and click on next
On the next screen click on finish to create the datastore
You should now be able to see the datastore in the storage folder
