If youâve forgotten it, or if your account is locked after too many attempts, you can use the Self Service Password Reset (SSPR) tool. The steps below will guide you through the process from start to finish. Donât worry â it looks long, but just follow the screenshots and youâll be back in your account.

If youâre confident and just need the essentials, hereâs the process in 3 steps:
1. Go to office.com
2. Choose Forgot my password and follow the prompts to verify your identity (via email or phone).
3. Enter a new password (make it memorable but secure) and log back in.

Go to the following url: https://office.com
Click âSign Inâ

Enter your username

You will then see either of the following depending on if your account has already been locked (entered incorrect password too many times) or you know you have forgotten your password. The procedure is the same in both cases.


This will take you to the webpage to allow you to recover your account and change your password.
Enter the CAPCHA in the box and click next.

Step 1: Click email to have a verification code sent to your assigned MFA email address.

Enter the code you have received via email and click Next.

Step 2: Enter your full authentication phone number and select your preference of text or phone call and click Next.

Now you have verified yourself as the account owner you are able to reset your password. Please ensure you use something memorable but secure. Use upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.

Once you have typed your new password and confirmed it, click Finish. You will get the following confirmation window and you can then log in as usual with your new credentials.
